As a child, we’re often told to enjoy the little things in life.
I’m pretty sure you’ve heard something like, “sleep a lot while you can,” but it’s an idea that’s a little too far off any child’s concern. Of course, as a young curious being, we’d rather play around the house, watch our favorite channels, and banter aimlessly all night than sleep, right?
Thus, most of us have evaded the idea because we simply don’t see the point in sleeping obsessively—until it’s too late and we’re glued to our office chairs counting the days off.
Yep, it’s one of the biggest ironies out there, but perhaps our parents just aren’t exactly the best candidates to show us what this is all about.
Try a snoozing polar bear cub instead!
Meet Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s very own polar bear cub. Well, shhh… Not too loud because she’s sleeping!
This little cub loves to take quite a down time and according to its caretakers, it’s both dreaming and snoring the same way we do.
Aww… Just look at that peaceful state of rest. I’m starting to feel heavy bags on top of my eye. If I’ve been shown this adorable picture the same time my parents told me to sleep, I’d probably hopped in the bed early!
This cute miniature form of a polar bear is still only a baby. Columbus Zoo and Aquarium wrote on Facebook, “At 5 weeks old, the polar bear cub is doing very well; she weighs a little over 4 pounds and measures 16 inches long.” This means that it’s healthy and developing at an incredible rate, yay!
Despite being away from its natural habitat, part of her promising growth, is all thanks to the expertise of folks over at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium where she is being fed six times a day—great work!
Inspirations can come from everywhere especially if you know what you’re looking for. So the next time you have a young one to teach about taking advantage of sleep, show them these delightful shots!
